The initiative to create the camp belongs to the charitable organization “Light of hope” that has been managing to find financial resources for 3 years long to arrange and conduct the camp. This year Elena Franchuk ANTIAIDS Foundation gives support to the 10-days summer camp. The funds provided by the Foundation were spent on acquiring the tents, sport and household utensils, first aid sets, necessities and food for cooking breakfast, dinner and supper on the campfire. This summer camp made people believe in living without drugs, searching for their place in life and first of all changed their attitude to themselves.
On July 15th, 2004 in Michaylovka village, Dikan’ka district, Poltava region a 10-days rehabilitation-therapeutical summer camp for HIV-positive people, drugs addicted and their families was opened.
