| Social and economic consequences of HIV/AIDS epidemic in Ukraine |

| According to the pessimistic scenario, the amount of people dying due to AIDS will exceed 50 000 (including 900 children) by 2014 year in Ukraine. Total budget losses during the next seven years will increase twice and exceed 11 billions UAH. The nearest three years will be determining in the fight against AIDS in Ukraine. The further evolution of AIDS epidemic after 2010 will depend on government efforts: either gradual decreasing of HIV infection or rapid increasing up to 741 000 cases by 2014 year. According to international experts estimates there are near 400 000 people living with HIV/AIDS in Ukraine. |

| The given research sums up the first semiannual stage of the Foundation activity in the field of informational and educational projects. Within the research framework two tasks has been solved. First, the estimation of the first stage of the Foundation communications according to the world accepted standards of media campaigns evaluation. Second, measurement of the basic indicators required for monitoring and estimation. |
